A Solly Wrap may be good for you if… You have a newborn. It was seriously a magic wrap, and I don’t know what I would have done without it. I was completely exhausted for months, but I was comforted knowing that at least my baby was getting some good rest. Since she was completely upright, sleeping in the Solly Wrap was the only place she was completely comfortable. There weren’t any newborn dozing sessions in the bassinet at the hospital, and sleep was hard to come by for months for all of us. Our youngest daughter could not sleep comfortably from the moment she was born. I didn’t know how much I would need the magic of the Solly with my second daughter! You can read all about our journey with her reflux here! She could snuggle in, I would tuck her head behind one of the straps and she would go right to sleep. Right from the start, my daughter was super comfortable in this wrap. I would use it to go grocery shopping, to go to church, or to guarantee she could take a nap when we were at someone else’s house. My Solly quickly became a necessity when leaving the house. Little did I know that I would use it ALL of the time, and even more with my 2nd baby! We have definitely gotten our money’s worth out of this wrap! I had seen other mama’s put their baby’s in a wrap and take the CUTEST pictures. My sweet MIL bought me a Solly Baby Wrap before Rosy was born, and I honestly just wanted it for the pictures. Baby wearing has been huge in my motherhood journey. All while building that bond that comes about with physical closeness. Well, maybe not everything, but I can get a heck of a lot done with a baby wrapped or strapped to my chest. You name it, I can do it while baby wearing. A normal day in newborn life for us looks like me mopping the floor while a 5 week old baby snoozes away on my chest. I have often asked my mom and my mother-in-law how in the world they got stuff done without baby carriers and wraps! They said that they just held babies with their arms! Baby wearing makes me be able to snuggle my baby all day long and also be productive! It’s seriously the best of both worlds. I’m an enneagram 3 and productivity is basically my love language. There is nothing better to me than snuggling up to my sweet little chunk, and also getting something done! Wildbird’s ring sling is perfect for any mama who is interested in baby wearing and wants a simple, comfortable and stylish way to do so.This post contains affiliate links. Because it’s made up of a long piece of linen fabric with two interlocking rings, the Wildbird ring sling conveniently folds up and fits inside my diaper bag or purse. Another thing we love is the Wildbird’s size. Our sling seemed a bit stiff upon arrival but was much more comfortable after an initial washing. I appreciate that the material is machine washable, and I would recommend washing before use. Even after a few hours in the Wildbird, my daughter was comfortable and secure at the perfect height. As a result, your baby doesn’t get lower and lower in the sling and need constant readjusting. An added bonus to the linen construction is that no matter how long your little one is in the sling, the linen does not stretch out like some fabrics. Unlike some carriers, baby and mama stay quite comfortable for any length of time whether it is warm or cool outside. The linen feels strong and secure and is great in a variety of temperatures. The Wildbird is available in an array of colors and patterns. The sling is made in Utah from a single layer of 100 percent linen. In addition to being easy and convenient to use, the Wildbird looks great as well.
